Born in a house filled with music, Ivan was on stage performing at 10 years old. At the age of 14 he started playing professionally in the family band. Growing up in a family band proved to be a valuable head start on the road to a music career. As a son of songwriter Joe Duke, Ivan's first recording session was at age 10.
